VIA has introduced a new Internet of Things gateway it has created Specifically designed for enterprise applications that measures 154.4mm x 27mm x 106.7mm yet still offers a variety of different I/O and display expansion options. Features of the VIA ARTiGO A630 Enterprise IoT Gateway include 1 x HDMI port, 1 x RS-232/485 COM port, 1 x DIO port with support for 8-bit GPIO, 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x micro USB 2.0 port, 1 x 10/100Mbps Ethernet port, and 1 x miniPCIe slot.
The IoT Gateway is powered by a 1.0GHz VIA ARM Cortex-A9 dual-core SoC (VIA ARTiGO A630) supporting 2D/3D graphics, Open GL ES 2.0 hardware acceleration and comes with an on-board Micro SD card slot, 4GB eMMC Flash memory, and 1GB DDR3 SDRAM. VIA has also made optional Wi-Fi and 3G wireless modules available, which can be supported through on-board USB pin-headers or the miniPCIe slot. The ARTiGO A630 Android 5.0 BSP also includes the VIA Smart ETK comprising a number of APIs, including Watchdog Timer (WDT) for safeguarding against system crashes, GPIO access, COM port access, and a sample app.
