Verizon has announced that it is ready to start selling its first netbook that has LTE inside for speedy 4G mobile web surfing. The new netbook was seen at CES and is finally ready to be purchased. The netbook is called the Compaq Mini CQ10-688NR. The machine is your typical netbook crammed with LTE modem love.
The netbook has an anti-glare 10.1-inch screen with a resolution of 1024 x 600. The processor inside is a 1.66GHz Intel Atom N455. Other features include 1GB of DDR3 RAM and a 250GB HDD. The netbook also has a WiFi card and a multi-format memory card reader.
The machine weighs in at 3.10 pounds and will sell for $449.99. The netbook will be in stores on August 4. Customers will need a 2-year data plan contract at $30 to $80 for 2GB to 10GB of monthly bandwidth.
