As far as smart phone interfaces are concerned the iPhone is currently leading the way. However it wont be long before a new creation takes the top spot.
This Velvet UI developed by The Astonishing Tribe, running on a MeeGo device if definitely a glimpse in to the future and possible things to come. Check out the video after the jump.
The Velet UI using a cloth style animation to add a totally unique style to mobile user interfaces. Pull out a widget or Google Maps query, and a sheet of your desired result waves with the virtual wind, before stretching out flat for you to more comfortably interact with.
Unfortunately this user interface has been developed using the company’s proprietary UI framework so dont expect it to appear on any device very soon.
