VAIO is well know as the brand that Sony used to release their laptops under, although the company sold off the VAIO Laptops brand to concentrate on smartphones and tablets.
Now the first VAIO laptops have launched in Japan, without the Sony branding, the company is now owned by an investment firm, and it now classes itself as a small PC maker.
They company has launched a couple of new VAIO laptops in Japan, although these devices are identical to the previous VAIO Pro and VAIO models that Sony used to produce.
Sony’s VAIO range of laptops used to be popular, and they ended up being decent laptops, it will be interesting to see if this continues now that the VAIO brand is owned by another company.
You can find out more details about these new laptops over at VAIO at the link below, hopefully we will see some new models from the company in the future, instead of just the models that Sony used to produce.
