There is nothing worse annual smartphone battery running low when you’re out and about with your friends. To help prevent this Volt Electronics has created a unique battery sharing cable that allows you to squeeze a little juice from your friends devices to keep your device running until you can power up from the grid.
Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the battery share cable which has this week launched via Kickstarter and is now available with early bird pledges from £20. If all goes well worldwide shipping is expected to take place sometime around February 2019. The battery share cable not only allows you to top up your smartphone from your friends device but also allows you to synchronise and transfer data.
“Most of us experienced the following situation: You’re spending an evening with your friends and suddenly you realize your phone is running low on battery. Nowadays we rely on our phones more than ever. We use it for bank transactions, appointments, making reservations, texting, taking photographs and more. Hence, it’s a major inconvenience if your phone dies. There are ways to prevent this situation: The most known solution are powerbanks.“
“But let’s be real…. you’ll probably just end up forgetting to charge it or even forget it at home. Of course you could charge your phone at home before going out in the first place. But sometimes there is no time left for that or you simply overestimated your battery percentage. We developed a simple solution for this problem.”
‘From now on you just need to take our Cable with you anywhere you go. It definitely weighs less than a powerbank and fits nicely into your pocket. With this cable you can charge your phone with almost every electronic device. Simply connect your phone with another one and it begins to charge.”
