Good news for owners of the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 smartphones in the US as Samsung has now released the Android Oreo update for the handsets. The carrier versions of these handsets started to get the update back in June.
The update has been released for the unlocked Samsung Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge. The S7 version comes with the software version 930UUEU4CRG2 and the S7 Edge with the software version 935UUEU4CRG2.
The update brings both handsets to Android 8.0 Oreo and it also includes the Samsung Experience 9.0 which includes some new features from Samsung.
The software update has been released as an over the air update and it should be available for your unlocked Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge as of now. You can check to see if the update is available for your handset from the settings menu on your device.
