A new lamp has been created using Ferrofluid that has launched over on the Kickstarter crowdfunding website this week that has been created to inspire curiosity.
The patent pending technology provides users with a way of entertaining themselves during those periods of contemplation and provides a unique way to see and interact with nanotechnology. Watch the video below to learn more about this interesting new Ferrofluid lamp and how you can be one of the first to be able to get your hands on it.
Its lamps creator Kyle Haines explains a little more :
“Ferrofluid is an example of nanotechnology and when presented in the right manner is very successful at creating interest were there was none before. This is because of natural curiosity. I want to encourage that curiosity as well as the imaginative thinking that comes with it. I want to remind people there’s still so much to discover and explore.
I believe ferrofluid is a great icon to represent the 21st century, much in the same way motion lamps are considered an icon of the 1960’s counterculture revolution. People embraced it as a sort of statement to the zeitgeist of that era. That’s how I feel about ferrofluid at this point in time. This is why I created The Inspiration.”
The new Ferrofluid lamp is currently over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise $7,000 in pledges to make the jump from concept to production.
