In celebration of reaching 1 million users Ubuntu One has this week announced it has increased the capacity of its free Ubuntu One online cloud storage from 2GB to 5GB. Ubuntu One Basic will become Ubuntu One Free and users will get 5GB of free storage when they set up an account, and existing users of Ubuntu One Basic will automatically increase to the new 5GB limit.
You can claim your 5GB of storage from the Ubuntu One Free website, by signing up for an account. other account options are also available as detailed in the above image, with up to 20GB of storage included. If you’re using Ubuntu, you can sync your Tomboy Notes and Firefox bookmarks, as well.
As well as the extra storage Ubuntu One has also announced the launch of its Ubuntu One App Developer Program, which is now open to everybody, on any platform.
