After being available for some time via Google’s Chromecast device, Twitch has this week announced that the streaming service is now available via Google’s Android TV devices.
The new Twitch Android TV application has been designed to provide users with a more personal viewing experience, says Twitch and offers the ability to log-in and follow the content you enjoy from broadcasters you might be following.
The Twitch Android TV app also includes an integrated chat feature together with the ability to :
– Watch live and recorded video of top games, players, and esports events.
– Follow channels and games you want to keep tabs on.
– View profile pages to learn about broadcasters, including the ability to check out their VODs.
– Hi-res video (1080p/60fps) support for Android TV devices.

The Whispers 2.0 mobile update allows all Android users to enjoy an enhanced chat experience. Simply tap the whispers icon in the top right section of the app to see your private messages at a glance.
