It has been announced this week by Mad Catz Global Limited that the company has sold its TRITTON gaming audio brand, to Silkysea International Limited. Silkysea It is based in California in the United States and now owns TRITTON specified trademarks valid for use in the USA, China, Hong Kong and Russia.
Lucian Lu, Executive Board of Directors for Mad Catz Global Limited commented, “Since announcing the return of the Mad Catz brand in January 2018, we have been overwhelmed with support from retail, distributors and the gaming community. We remain highly focused on exceeding expectations for the brand, and look forward to the imminent shipping of our first line of new Mad Catz products. As we put our combined efforts into growing the Mad Catz brand, we are pleased to find a buyer who can devote the time and resources needed to see the TRITTON line flourish and wish Silkysea International every good luck with their future TRITTON endevours.”
Mad Catz ceased operations on March 30th, 2017, and filed a voluntary petition for relief under Chapter 7 of U.S. Bankruptcy code to initiate an orderly liquidation of its assets. On January 4th, 2018, Mad Catz Global Limited based in Kowloon, Hong Kong, with new ownership of previous Mad Catz trademarks and announced the return of the Mad Catz brand and the launched a new line of products at this years CES Technology show back in January 2018.
