Makers looking for a complete rapid prototyping and manufacturing system in one compact unit that includes a CNC milling machine, 3D printer and an injection moulding machine might be interested in a new device called the TriBot 3-in-1 which has been unveiled this week.
The TriBot 3-in-1 will soon be launching over on the Kickstarter crowd funding website looking to raise enough funds to make the jump from concept into production.
Unlike other 3D printers and desktop rapid prototyping manufacturing systems the TriBot 3-in-1 has been designed for a location within your workshop rather than your home and will be priced at around $9,950 when it officially enters retail. However the first eight Kickstarter backers will receive nearly 50 percent off that price for their early adoption with the earlier bird priced of$4,999.
The next round of Kickstarter pledges will then rise to $7,699, with shipping of the TriBot expected to begin in the early 2015 say its creators. Check out the video below to see the new TriBot 3-in-1 manufacturing system in action. Specifications for the new TriBot 3-in-1 include :
