Toshiba have unveiled a new portable monitor they have created which is powered by just a USB port. The 14 inch monitor weighs less than 3 lbs and both power and video are provided to the display via a USB connection from a PC system.
The Toshiba portable USB display is equipped with a 1366 x 768 resolution capable of full 720p high definition images, but currently only supports 256,000 colours.
Its design and out case give it the look of a tablet, and its case also providing the display with a viewing stand,which can then be collapsed and folded around the display for protection. Unfortunately its only compatible with Windows 7, Vista and XP.
The new Toshiba portable USB display is available to buy directly from Toshiba for $199.
