A development board has been built in the form of the TinyWiFi 5G offering a clone of the NanoPi NEO Air with 5GHz Wifi development board created by FriendlyARM and launched back in 2016. The new TinyWiFi 5G board is based around the NanoPi NEO but has not been created by FriendlyARM offering a clone of the board with added connectivity.
The TinyWiFi includes an upgraded wireless module in the form of an improved dual-band Realtek RTL8821CS module that supports 802.11 b/g/n/ac (WiFi 5) and Bluetooth 4.2 LE. The developers at TinyDebian are responsible for creating the TinyWiFi 5G board and have also created a tool for building a bootable SD card image for ARM boards which is available to download via GitHub.
More information on the tinyDebian is to build bootable SDcard image from scratch for ARM boards trip over to the GitHub project page.
