If you would like to learn more about the Internet of Things, and creating electronic devices you may be interested in a new micro controller called the Tinusaur, which has been created and is based on the Arduino platform.
The small micro controller is supplied as a kit which then needs to be soldered together allowing you to learn more about the electronic components and features of the Tinusaur, or teach others that may be interested in learning about Arduino and simple programming.
Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the Tinusaur micro controller development board, Which is taken to Indiegogo this month to raise the required funds to make the jump into production.
The Tinusaur Board Lite is our basic board. It consists of the Tinusaur PCB board, Atmel ATtiny85 microcontroller and all other necessary parts for it to work. This bundle is like the original Tinusaur Board kit but without the battery holder and the battery.
Please note that (1) it comes as an assembly kit – a small package with parts, you have to solder it yourself; (2) you need an ISP programmer (such as USBasp) to program it. The Tinusaur Board is our original and most popular board. It consists of a Tinusaur PCB board, Atmel ATtiny85 microcontroller and all other necessary parts for it to work, including a battery with a battery holder.
The Tinusaur Starter 2 is our most popular bundle and consists of the Tinusaur Board, the Shield LEDx2 and the USBasp programmer. That is exactly everything that you need to start working with microcontrollers – the bare minimum. The Tinusaur Starter 2 is our popular educational bundle. It consists of the Tinusaur Board, the Shield LEDx2, Shield EDUx4IO and the USBasp programmer. That is everything that you need to start working with microcontrollers, plus one more shield to learn even more.
