Yesterday, LG unveiled their long rumored LG G3 at a press event which simultaneously took place in several places. The handset went official, but LG didn’t mention an expected arrival date for the handset, except that it will go on sale in South Korea today, followed by its launch on over 170 carriers across the globe.
If you’re in the UK, Three, O2 and Carphone Warehouse have confirmed that they will carry the LG G3. Unfortunately, they didn’t give out an exact date or the pricing of the handset.
Carphone Warehouse tweeted that they will sell the handset, with the pre-orders kicking off early June. O2 UK also gave a rough availability date on their official blog post, and mentioned the handset will hit retail shelves of the carrier in early July. There’s no word from three about the availability, but rumors suggest LG G3 will land in the UK from 1st of July.
As far as the specifications are concerned, LG G3 comes with a 5.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 SoC with 2/3GB of RAM on board. Other features include 16/32GB storage with a MicroSD card support up to 128GB, a 13MP camera with OIS+ and laser auto focus for sharper images, 2.1MP front-facing camera, a 3,000 mAh battery and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system.
We’ll update you as soon as we get any information about the launch of the device in the UK. Stay tuned.
