Bookends come in a range of different designs, but this latest one from designer Paul Cocksedge is almost invisible, when it is in use you don’t actually see the bookend, just the books standing up at and angle.
Have a look at the photo below, which shows the bookend in action, although it doesn’t show what the bookend actually looks like, and even on his website all you see is what the device does and not what it looks like, here is how he explains his design.
“I wanted to discover if other people would enjoy as much as I do seeing books displayed without any other object to distract attention from them. This is a design which is not about appearance, only function. That’s the beauty of it.”
You can order this new invisible bookend for £50 which works out at around $80 from the Paul Cocksedge Shop, and it will start shipping on the 12th of November, although you will not be able to see what it actually looks like until you get it.
