Creators looking to build Internet-of-Things projects in a shorter amount of time may be interested in a new development board that offers both Arduino platform compatibility as well as wireless connectivity called the AirBoard.
AirBoard has been created by AirThings, based in Grenoble France and has been specifically designed to help developers, makers and hobbyists sketch Internet-of-Things projects faster. Watch the video below to learn more about this interesting project.
The AirBoard development board is an open source, compact, wireless and power efficient development platform. That has been created to enable users to learn, sketch and prototype their ideas fast. AirThings explains :
“Tomorrow, 50 billion connected objects will fill our everyday lives. Today, Internet-of-Things pioneers need easy-to-use and versatile, yet powerful tools to help them shape the future.
There are a number of educational tools on the market to facilitate transient prototyping. They are great for learning electronics but may be difficult to deploy out in the field. The challenge today is to accelerate the deployment of smart Things, with a seamless experience from novice to expert
The AirBoard offers the same type of solderless connector as the Arduino UNO which makes connection ultra-simple for beginners and encourages direct experimentation. We focused on the most versatile I/O pins, in order to lower the cognitive effort required inlearning electronics and rapidly switching between different projects.”
