T-Mobile recently announced the successor to their popular G1 smartphone, the T-Mobile G2, and it is now available to pre-order from Best Buy. The T-mobile G2 will be available in stores form the 6th of October 2010.
The G2 will retail for $199.99, with a new two year contract, and it will come with the latest version of Google’s Android OS, Android 2.2 Froyo.
The T-Mobile G2, will make use of T-Mobile’s new HSPA+ network, that is designed to deliver download speeds of up to 14.4 Mbps, it features an 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 Snapdragon processor.
The T-Mobile G2 also feature a full slide out QWERTY keyboard, and a 3.7 inch capacitive touchscreen display, and it features 4GB of built in storage and also has a microSD card slot with will come loaded with an 8GB microSD card.
Other specifications include a five megapixel camera that is capable of recording HD video in 720p, plus it also features a built in LED flash. The G2 also features Swype and comes with a range of Google services built in.
