Swype a new method of inputting text on a touch screen device has now arrived on Symbian devices.
Swype allows you to enter a word by sliding your finger or stylus from letter to letter, you only lift your finger between words. It uses error correcting algorithms and a language model to guess the word intended. It allows users to input words faster and easier than other data input methods and user can reach speeds of over 40 words per minute. Check out the video after the jump.
Swype is an input method for touch screens developed by Swype Inc. that was first commercially released on the Samsung Omnia II a Windows Mobile phone.
The new Swype for Symbian Beta is now compatible with the following Nokia S60 5th Edition touch screen phones:Nokia 5800, Nokia 5230, Nokia X6, Nokia N97, and Nokia N97 mini.
