Super Mario Run has been available on the iPhone for some time and now Nintendo has revealed that the game is coming to Android this week.
Super Mario Run is launching on Android on the 23rd of March and you can now pre-register for the game on Google Play.
Gameplay Mechanics and Features
In this game, Mario constantly moves forward through the courses while you use a variety of jumps to navigate. Mario will behave differently depending on the timing of your taps, so it’s up to you to show off particularly smooth moves, gather coins, and reach the goal.
Super Mario Run offers a unique twist on the traditional Mario gameplay. Unlike the classic Mario games where you have full control over Mario’s movements, in Super Mario Run, Mario runs automatically. This means players need to focus on timing their jumps to avoid obstacles, defeat enemies, and collect coins. The game is designed to be played with one hand, making it accessible for gaming on the go.
The game features several modes, including World Tour, Toad Rally, and Kingdom Builder. In World Tour, players navigate through six worlds filled with 24 brand-new courses. Each course is designed with intricate details and challenges that require precise timing and strategy to complete.
Additional Game Modes and Social Features
Toad Rally is a competitive mode where players can challenge friends and other players from around the world. In this mode, players race against the clock to collect as many coins as possible while performing stylish moves to impress Toads. The more Toads you impress, the higher your score, and the more rewards you earn.
Kingdom Builder allows players to use the coins and Toads they have collected to build and customize their own Mushroom Kingdom. This mode adds a creative aspect to the game, as players can place buildings, decorations, and other items to create a unique kingdom.
Super Mario Run also includes special events and challenges that keep the gameplay fresh and engaging. These events often offer exclusive rewards and limited-time courses that provide additional challenges for players.
