A new split design ergonomic mechanical keyboard has launched via Kickstarter this week aptly named the Designer Keyboard created by the development team at Vexc How Design. The new keyboard features a 3D mouse together with programmable buttons and an open source code design. Connectivity is provided by support for Bluetooth 5.0 BLE and the portable mechanical keyboard is also equipped with hot swappable features. Watch the demonstration video below to learn more about the unique design and layout.
“I use keyboard quite a lot. I think I spend around 10 hours each day creating something and texting with friends. But the keyboard I use is not good enough. I always have wrist pain after a whole day of work being a Designer. Therefore, I look for different keyboards and find out most of them are not stylist, not functional and too heavy. I want to design a beautiful, portable, productive and comfortable keyboard.
Understanding that you work hard every day, your wrists, arms and hands are suffering. After 1 year of research and testing, we found out some features that are good for our hands, such as vertical key layout, wrist rest and 20 degrees of tenting. Specifically, split design keeps your wrists at a neutral angle. “
The split ergonomic mechanical keyboard is now available to back via Kickstarter with earlybird pledges available from $329 or £255 offering a 30 discount off the recommended retail price, which will take effect once the crowdfunding campaign comes to an end. Follow the link below for more details.
