The new Sony Xperia XZ2 Premium was made official earlier today and Sony said that the handset is launching globally this summer.
Now it would appear that Sony is not expecting to launch the handset in the UK. The company recently told Pocket Lint that they are not planning to launch the device in the UK.
“Given the strength of the existing Xperia XZ range, specifically the XZ2, XZ2 Compact, and XZ Premium, there are currently no plans for widespread ranging of the handset in the UK and Ireland.”, the company did say though that this could change in the future.
The handset comes with a5.8 inch display with a 4K resolution of 2840 x 2160 pixels and it comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 mobile processor and 6GB of RAM, plus 64GB of storage and a microSD card slot.
There are also high end cameras on the front and back, on the back of the device there is a dual camera setup which is made up of one 19 megapixel Motion Eye camera and one black and white 12 megapixel camera. On the front of the handset there is a 13 megapixel camera for Selfies and video calls.
