A new update has been rolled out this week for the Sony SmartWatch 2 Android wrist worn device that brings with a number of new tweaks, enhancements and features.
The latest update in the form of SmartWatch 2 firmware build number 1.0.B.5.28/1.0.A.4.11 and host version 1.5.14, brings with it the ability for users to now use custom wallpapers on the device.
The new Sony SmartWatch 2 feature can be activated via the settings menu on your connecting smartphone and allows you to change the wallpaper to a custom image if preferred.
Other features in this latest Sony SmartWatch 2 update also include additional language support as well as the ability for the SmartWatch 2 to now show notifications in all of the languages supported by your connected smartphone. Making it much easier for you to see messages and alerts in your native language. Sony explains :
“If your smartphone is Android, this is the watch for you. SmartWatch 2 expands your Android experience and introduces new and exciting ways to live and communicate. It interacts with your smartphone over Bluetooth, so what’s happening in your life is mirrored in your watch.”
To re-cap the Sony SmartWatch 2 is equipped with a 220 x 176 pixel screen and connects to Experia smartphones running Android 4.0 or later and is fitted with a battery that will provide around 4 days worth of average use.
