Following on from the rumours circulating yesterday regards the delay of the highly anticipated PlayStation 4 Driveclub game. Gamers waiting to play the new and exclusive PlayStation 4 racing game will be disappointed to learn that Sony has today confirmed that the rumours were indeed true and the new Driveclub game will not be available for the launch of a new next-generation PS4 console next month.
The news that the PS4 Driveclub game would be delayed have been published on the PlayStation Blog where Sony’s Yoshida explained that the game “requires more development time before it can deliver on Evolution Studios and Sony’s vision”-“We understand that the delay is disappointing news, but can assure you that the reason we have made this decision is to ensure that when Driveclub launches, it will realize the next-gen racing vision.”
Sony’s new Driveclub game is not the only game to miss the PlayStation 4 launch window, as yesterday Ubisoft also announced a new and highly anticipated Watch Dogs game will also not be available at launch for the PlayStation 4 and will be made available a in the first quarter of 2014 for gamers to enjoy.
The new next generation PlayStation 4 console will be launching on November 15th 2013 in the US and slightly later throughout Europe on November 29th 2013. The Sony PlayStation 4 console is priced at $399, €399, and £349 depending on your location.
