The PCIe Flash Drive measures just 2.8 inches wide by 4.1 inches deep by 1.25 inches tall and features a rugged case design constructed from aluminium, which provides both protection and efficiently cools the SSD and eliminates the need for a fan in the enclosure.
The 1TB Fusion Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Flash Drive supports both Windows and Mac OS X operating systems and offers 40Gb/s bandwidth over the Thunderbolt 3 connection, to deliver data transfer speeds up to 2600 MB/s. The storage is based on PCIe Gen 3 flash memory technology and offers connection speeds that are five times faster than 6Gb/s SATA SSDs and USB 3 SSD drives.
The Thunderbolt 3 cable connection also allows the storage drive to be attached to the end of a daisy chain of Thunderbolt 3 devices. Equipped with a captive cable, the Fusion Thunderbolt 3 PCIe Flash Drive’s Thunderbolt cable is permanently connected but if it should break can be replaced by Sonnet or a Sonnet Authorised service center.
