For those iPad owners who live in sunny climates, SolaWerks have created a new solar panel equipped case to help keep your tablet juiced up, in the form of the SolaPad. Allowing you to roam free and remain away from the grid for longer periods of time. However no specifications have been released as yet regards specifications for the solar panels and the amount of charge they will provide.
As well as being equipped with a solar panel, the SolarPad is also fitted with “high quality” speakers and the case looks as though it will provide ample protection to your iPad from knocks and bumps. Making it impact resistant up to 6 feet says its designers.
The SolarPad is currently in the final stages of development, and as yet doesn’t have a launched date confirmed. But if you would like to remain updated with progress, you can register your interest over on the SolaWerks website.
