Sol Republic has pulled the wraps off its latest Bluetooth portable speaker for folks on the go. That speaker is called the Punk and it is available in a number of bright colors to suit your need for style and sound. Bluetooth speakers are perfect for times when you want to share music from your device with friends or don’t want to wear headphones.
The Sol Republic Punk is small and palm-sized making it easy to take with you on the go. It was built to be water, dust, and impact resistant so it can survive trips to the beach and knocking around in a bag during the week. Power comes from an internal battery that promises eight hours of runtime per charge. Sol says that is 50% more runtime than similarly sized portable speakers.
Wireless connectivity is via Bluetooth and wireless range is 60-feet. Sol says that wireless range is about twice that of other similarly sized devices. It’s unclear how much power the portable speaker has, but Sol claims it has 75% more power than other speakers in its class and that you can easily hear music over the sound of crashing waves. Punk speakers will be available at several retail outlets for $69.99.
