The Exynos 7420 is Samsung’s top processor at the moment, the processor is used in Samsung’s latest smartphones like the Galaxy S6 and Note 5.
Qualcomm has a new processor in the works, the Snapdragon 820 and according to a recent report, the new Snapdragon is 50 percent more powerful than Samsung’s Exynos 7420.
According to analyst Pan Jiutang, the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 is a significant upgrade over the current Snapdragon 810 and also a significant upgrade over the Samsung Exynos 7420.
This should not really come as a surprise that the new Snapdragon 820 will be more powerful than the Exynos 7420, Samsung has a new processor in the works, the Samsung 8990 or Samsung M1.
Samsung is expected to use both the new Snapdragon processor and their new Exynos 8990 in their Samsung Galaxy S7, the handset is rumored to be made official in January and launch in February.
