Danish watchmaker Skagen has today announced the availability of its new Android Wear smartwatch in the form of the Skagen Falster smartwatch. Which is now available to purchase priced from $275 and was first unveiled during this year’s CES 2018 technology show. The smartwatch is equipped with a 42 mm OLED watch face and powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 2100 processor. All enclosed in a case that is certified for IP67 for protection from dust and water allowing you to submerge it to a depth of 1m for up to 30 minutes.
The Skagen Falster is also equipped with basic activity tracking and Bluetooth connectivity enabling it to connect to your smartphone and provide notifications on your wrist when incoming calls or messages are received. The Skagen Falster smartwatch also supports Google Assistant and can be customised and loaded with third-party applications downloaded from the Google Play store. The Skagen Falster is compatible with Android handsets running Lollipop and higher and can also connect to iOS devices, supporting the iPhone 5 and above running with iOS 9 or later.
