Now that the successful Kickstarter campaign has come to an end that helped Jide raise more than $1.6 million thanks to over 20,000 backers, production has now started on the Android mini PC.
Chinese manufacturer Jide is now hoping to start shipping the Android mini PC that took Kickstarter by storm to backers during October 2015 preloaded with the Remix OS.
The Remix OS is based on Android 4.4, but the systems creators Jide is now beta testing Remix OS 1.5 that is based on Android 5.0 and includes a wealth of new features. Such as the ability to run more applications gesture support, and improvements to the email, browser, file manager, and other applications.
To re-cap the Remix Mini PC is equipped with a 1.5 GHz Allwinner ARM Cortex-A53 quad-core processor, supported by up to 2GB of RAM, together with up to 16GB of storage. Connectivity is provided by 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, and HDMI output and the system includes 2 x USB 2.0 ports, 1 x Ethernet jack, and a headphone jack.
Even though the Kickstarter campaign has now ended Jide is still accepting reservations for the Remix Mini range of hardware directly from the official website, that is located at the link below.
