Samsung is offering owners of the Galaxy Note 7 incentives in South Korea to exchange their Note 7 or get a refund on the device.
Samsung will give anyone who brings their device in for a refund a 30,000 won coupon which is about $27 and anyone who swaps their handset for another Samsung device gets a mobile credit of 70,000 won which is about $61.
The company is obviously hoping that offering these financial incentives will get their customers to return their Galaxy Note 7 handsets quicker.
The fact that they are offering a high incentive for customers to stay with a Samsung phone rather than take a refund could work for the company to ensure that it retains its customers and they don’t jump to another brand like Apple or Google with their new Pixel phone.
