Samsung recently launched their new Samsung Gear S smartwatch in South Korea, and it would appear that the device is off to a good start in the country.
The Samsung Gear S is being sold through mobile carriers KT and SK Telecom, and according to a recent report, Samsung have sold 10,000 units of the smartwatch on launch day.
The Gear S comes with its own SIM card slot, which means it can be used to make and receive calls without having to pair it with your smartphone or tablet, although this can also be paired with a smartphone or tablet if you want to, like Samsung’s other smart watches.
The Samsung Gear S comes with a 2 inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 360 x 480 pixels, processing comes in the form of a dual core 1GHz processor and the Gear S also comes with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of built in storage.
The smartwatch comes with a 300 mAh battery, which according to Samsung will give you up to two days of usage, it also comes with Bluetooth and WiFi.
