Last month at their premier event, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Tab S tablets, which were first available for pre-orders in South Korea shortly after its launch.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S launched in the US on June 27th, and its available for sale in the European region as well. Samsung has confirmed that Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and the Galaxy Tab S 10.5 is available on sale in the region.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S comes with a Super AMOLED display in two options: one features a 8.4-inch display while the other one comes with a 10.5-inch. Both tablets sport a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels.
The tablets are powered by a Exynos 5 Octa (1.9 GHz QuadCore + 1.3 GHz Quadcore) or Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 2.3 GHz Quadcore, and the availability of processors differ by region. Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 both feature 3GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot of up to 128GB and comes with Android 4.4.2 KitKAt as its operating system out of the box.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4 comes with a 4,900 mAh battery while its bigger sibling features a 7,900 mAh battery to make sure there is enough juice for the tablets. Other features include 8MP camera for photos and videos, 2.1MP front-facing camera, WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, IR blaster, and microUSB 2.0
