Samsung did surprise the fans with the design of the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 edge, giving it a premium look compared to the Galaxy S5.
Things may be a little different when it comes to the upcoming Galaxy S7 which is expected to launch early next year. According to a new report surfacing from Korea, the upcoming Galaxy S7 may not get a major design overhaul.
So, it’s expected to bring changes, but most of them will be under the hood such as the processor, GPU, RAM, etc. The report mentions that Galaxy S7 will bring major improvements when it comes to performance and picture quality as well as some new software features on board.
This could be a good move in order to increase the profits, especially in the high-end segment where the margins are quite low compared to other markets.
It remains to be seen how much truth is in this report, so we’ll advise our readers to take this with a grain of salt. Samsung is expected to launch the new flagships early next year, possibly in February. We’ll update you if we get to hear anything more.
