Both the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge smartphones are designed to be waterproof and Samsung’s official word on the devices are that they can be submerged in water for one hour.
The guys over at Unbox Therapy tested our the waterproofing on the new Samsung Galaxy S7 and submerged the handset in water for a lot longer than one hour.
As we can see from the video the S7 was submerged in water for over 16 hours and the devices was still working at the end.
Obviously do not try this at home as Samsung says the device can only be submerged for one hour, so if you put it in water for longer and something goes wrong, the company may not replace the handset.
