It would appear that Samsung has a new version of their Galaxy Pocket smartphone in the works, the Galaxy Pocket Plus, and we have a photo of the handset along with a list of specifications.
The Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus will come with Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich and will feature a 2.8 inch QVGA TFT display, and processing will be provided by an 850 MHz Broadcom BCM21654 processor.
The Galaxy Pocket Plus will also feature a 2 megapixel rear camera and will come with 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, GPS, a 1,200 mAh battery, USB 2.0 and an FM Radio.
Enhanced Connectivity and Features
The inclusion of 802.11 b/g/n WiFi ensures that users will have access to fast and reliable internet connections, whether at home or on the go. Bluetooth 3.0 allows for quick and efficient data transfer between devices, making it easier to share files, photos, and more. The GPS functionality is a significant addition, providing users with accurate location services for navigation and other location-based applications.
The 1,200 mAh battery is designed to offer a decent amount of usage time, ensuring that the device can last through a day of moderate use. The USB 2.0 port allows for easy charging and data transfer, while the FM Radio provides entertainment options for users who enjoy listening to music or news on the go.
Camera and Multimedia Capabilities
The 2 megapixel rear camera, while not the most advanced, is sufficient for basic photography needs. It allows users to capture moments and share them with friends and family. Although it may not compete with higher-end smartphones in terms of camera quality, it is a practical feature for a budget-friendly device.
The Galaxy Pocket Plus is expected to support various multimedia formats, making it a versatile device for entertainment. Users can enjoy music, videos, and other media content without the need for additional software or converters.
There are no details as yet on when the new Samsung Galaxy Pocket Plus will be available, although we suspect Samsung may announce the device at Mobile World Congress next month.
