We previously heard a rumor that the new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 would be made official some time in August and now we have some details about a possible date for Samsung’s launch event for the handset.
According to a recent report, Samsung will be holding a press event in New York on the 26th of August 2017 where they will make their new Samsung Galaxy Note 8 smartphone official, this date has not been confirmed by Samsung.
The new comes in a report from South Korean site Naver who have apparently received some details about the launch date of the Galaxy Note 8.
Previous rumors have suggested that Samsung are looking to launch their Galaxy Note 8 before Apple’s iPhone 8, Apple are expected to announce their new smartphone some time in September.
If this August the 26th date is correct for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Note 8, then the handset could go on sale at either the end of August or in early September.
The new Note 8 is rumored to come with a 6.3 inch display that will have a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels and the device will be powered by a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 836 processor.
The Snapdragon 836 is a slightly faster version of the 835 and the handset is also rumored to come with 6GB of RAM and a choice of storage options from 6GB to 256GB.
We are also expecting the new Galaxy Note 8 to feature dual rear cameras, it looks like each camera will come with around 13 megapixels.
