The new photos of the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 were posted on Weibo and they show us the design of Samsung’s latest phablet.
Design and Display
The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a sleek and modern design, continuing Samsung’s tradition of combining aesthetics with functionality. The device is expected to come with a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display, offering vibrant colors and deep blacks, which is perfect for media consumption and productivity tasks. The curved edges of the screen not only add to the device’s visual appeal but also provide additional functionality through Samsung’s Edge UX.
Hardware and Performance
The handset is rumored to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, which is an upgrade from the Snapdragon 820, promising better performance and efficiency. Depending on the market, some variants might come with Samsung’s own Exynos 8893 processor. The device is expected to be available in two RAM configurations: 4GB and 6GB, catering to different user needs and ensuring smooth multitasking and performance.
We are also expecting a range of storage options on the handset from 32GB up to 256GB, providing ample space for apps, media, and documents. Additionally, the device will feature a microSD card slot, allowing users to expand storage further.
The Galaxy Note 7 will come with dual cameras. The front camera on the handset will feature 5 megapixels, ideal for selfies and video calls. The rear camera will be 13 megapixels, equipped with advanced features such as optical image stabilization, phase detection autofocus, and an LED flash, ensuring high-quality photos and videos even in low light conditions.
The device will feature Android Marshmallow out of the box, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI on top, offering a range of customization options and additional features. Users can expect an update to Android Nougat shortly after the release.
Additional Features
The Galaxy Note 7 is expected to come with an array of additional features that enhance its usability and security. One of the standout features is the iris scanner, which provides an extra layer of security by allowing users to unlock their device with their eyes. This is in addition to the fingerprint scanner, ensuring that the device is secure and accessible only to the owner.
The S Pen, a signature feature of the Note series, is expected to see improvements in terms of sensitivity and functionality. The new S Pen will likely offer better pressure sensitivity, making it more accurate for drawing and note-taking. Samsung is also expected to introduce new software features that take advantage of the S Pen’s capabilities.
The device will also come with IP68 certification, making it dust and water-resistant. This means that the Galaxy Note 7 can withstand being submerged in water up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes, adding to its durability.
We will have more details on the new Galaxy Note 7 when the handset is made official next month. The device is expected to also go on sale next month, and it will be interesting to see how it competes with other flagship devices in the market.
