We previously heard rumors that the Galaxy Note 5 would launch early, although Samsung’s JK Shin denied these rumors, which suggested that the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date could be September.
Now according to a recent report, the actual Samsung Galaxy Note 5 release date will be August, ahead of IFA 2015 which takes place in September and also ahead of Apple’s new iPhone 6S and 6S Plus smartphones.
Samsung are apparently looking to launch the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 before Apple launches the new iPhone 6S handset, these are rumored for a September launch, which would suggest that Samsung will launch their new Note 5 in August.
The new Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to come with a number of updates over the Galaxy Note 5, the handset is expected to get a similar design to the Galaxy S6 handset.
The Galaxy Note 5 is rumored to feature either a 5.4 or 5.5 inch display that will feature a 4K Ultra HD resolution and the device will apparently be powered by a new Samsung Exynos 7422 processor. The new processor is said to come with the RAM, GPU, LTE modem and CPU on one chip, the device is also rumored to feature 4GB of RAM.
Other rumored specifications in the handset include a 20 megapixel rear camera and either a 5 or 8 megapixel camera on the front. It is not clear as yet on whether the handset will come with Android Lollipop or the new Android M, this will all depend on when Google releases Android M.
