The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will launch in the UK later this month on the 25th of September and in the US on the 1st of October, and now we have an unboxing video of the Note 3 from the guys over at Phone Arena.
As a reminder, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7 inch Super AMOLED display that has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. This high-definition display ensures vibrant colors and deep blacks, making it ideal for media consumption, gaming, and productivity tasks. The handset features a 2.3Ghz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor for the LTE version, which provides robust performance for multitasking and running demanding applications.
Processor Variants and Memory Options
There is also a 3G version of the Note 3 that is powered by a Samsung Exynos 5420 processor. This variant is designed to cater to markets where LTE networks are not as prevalent. Both versions come with 3GB of RAM, which ensures smooth performance and efficient multitasking. Users can choose between 32GB and 64GB of built-in storage, providing ample space for apps, media, and documents. Additionally, the Note 3 supports expandable storage via a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 64GB cards, giving users the flexibility to increase their storage capacity as needed.
Camera and Additional Features
Other specifications on the Note 3 include a 13-megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, which Samsung calls Smart Stabilization. This feature helps to reduce blur and improve image quality, especially in low-light conditions. The camera is capable of recording 4K video, making it one of the first smartphones to offer this high-resolution video recording capability. The front-facing camera is 2 megapixels, suitable for video calls and selfies.
The Note 3 also comes with a suite of software enhancements designed to take advantage of its large screen and S Pen stylus. Features like Air Command, Action Memo, and Multi Window allow users to interact with their device in new and productive ways. Air Command provides quick access to S Pen features, while Action Memo lets users jot down notes that can be converted into actionable items. Multi Window enables users to run two apps side by side, enhancing multitasking capabilities.
The device runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box, with Samsung’s TouchWiz UI layered on top. This combination offers a user-friendly interface with a range of customization options and additional features not found in stock Android.
In terms of connectivity, the Note 3 supports a wide range of options including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, and infrared, allowing it to connect to a variety of devices and networks. The handset also includes a 3200mAh battery, which provides ample power to get through a full day of use, even with heavy usage.
