We heard earlier today that the volume bug software update for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus would be rolled out to the devices some time next week, the new came from Google, but now it would appear that the update may actually be released by Samsung as an OTA update some time today.
The news comes from the guys over at Clove, who have been informed by the UK distributors of the Galaxy Nexus that new devices wont come with the update pre-installed as they had previously heard, instead it will be rolled out as an OTA update when a new device is turned on.
However, this morning’s news means the update will be available very soon for new and existing customers and some customers may be prompted to install the update upon powering up their machine for the first time.
If you won a Samsung Galaxy Nexus and have received the OTA update today leave a comment and let us know, also we would be interested to find out if the update does indeed fix the volume bug.
