Yesterday, we saw some leaked images of the alleged Samsung Galaxy Alpha in action, with a metallic frame, and today, a UK retailer inadvertently started taking pre-orders of the device, revealing most of the specifications it will offer.
The page has been taken down, but was spotted by the entire blogosphere before it was taken off. The device doesn’t offer flagship specifications, but they are appear to be good enough. The retailer further mentions that the purported device comes with a “stunning metallic design.”
As per MobileFun listing, the alleged Samsung Galaxy Alpha will rock a 4.7-inch display offering a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, as well as Samsung’s octa-core Exynos 5 processor — possibly the Exynos 5433. It also lists the handset comes with 32GB of internal memory, with a £549 price tag which we’re assuming is for the SIM-free variant.
Other specifications of the purported handset includes a 12MP camera with autofocus, as well as a 2.1Mp front facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 4G connectivity and runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat as its operating system out of the box.
Rumors suggest that Samsung will officially unveil the handset on August 13th, which is not too far away. We’ll keep an eye on the news and update you as soon as anything interesting pops up.
