Running on a treadmill can be a boring job and any distraction from the distance in front of you is welcome, but now a new device called Run-n-Read has been created to enable you to read as you run on your treadmill at the gym.
The new Run-n-Read motion sensor straps to your head and has ben developed by researchers at Purdue University. The Run-n-Read sensor can be used to flip pages back and forth and tracks the up and down movement of your head altering the page on your taler device to suit.
The test on your tablet is then kept in sync with your head via a Bluetooth connection and tap or double tap on the sensor will move pages back and forth. Watch het video embedded below to learn more about the Run-n-Read sensor.
“Exercise both your body and mind. You can now read while on a treadmill or an elliptical machine. Long commutes don’t have to be boring. No more eye strain while reading in a train or a car.”
The Run-n-Read is compatible with both iOS and Android devices and is now available to pre-order for $100 and early adopters can pick one up for just $40, with shipping starting in January 2014, so don’t delay.
