The whole Nexus 5 saga is becoming interesting with every passing day. Earlier today, we saw a leaked image of the alleged Nexus 5 from the FCC. The devices appear to look similar to the one we spotted at the Android 4.4 KitKat video. We even saw a number of mockup designs of the alleged Nexus 5 based on all the rumors and the appearance of the device that was spotted in the video.
A new rumor has emerged on the internet that Bell will discontinue the current Nexus 4 device from its product lineup. According to an internal document received by the folks at MobileSyrup, Bell has given Nexus 4 an “End of Life” status from its portfolio.
Last month, Google offered a $100 discount on the Nexus 4, which reduced the price of 8GB Nexus 4 to $199 while 16GB model was available for $249. As a result, the device was sold out in the US Google Play Store as well.
The alleged Nexus 5 is expected to feature a Snapdragon 800 SoC, Bluetooth 4.0, wireless charging, 4.96-inch display with Android 4.4 KitKat on top of it.
With all these leaked images and FCC filings, I think we’ll see the alleged Nexus 5 very soon.
