Antelope has created a new product which it has added to its range in the form of the Rubicon Atomic AD/DA Preamp, which comes fitted with a Rubidium atomic clock, which is 100,000 times more stable than a traditional crystal oscillator. The Rubicon Atomic Preamp is the world’s first 384 kHz converter, phono stage preamp, and headphone amplifier with an integrated atomic clock, says Antelope.
Revolutionary Technology
Within the Rubicon Atomic AD/DA Preamp, the Rubidium atomic clock is combined with Antelope’s 64-bit Acoustically Focused Clocking technology. This combination provides a breakthrough in the ability for the Rubicon preamp to manage jitter, which is a common issue in digital audio conversion. Jitter can cause timing errors that degrade the quality of audio playback, but the Rubicon’s advanced clocking technology ensures that these errors are minimized, resulting in a cleaner and more accurate sound.
Antelope explains, “The transformer-based, ultra-low noise, discrete JFET phono preamp is a complement that will be highly appreciated by many vinyl lovers. In addition to the 384 kHz DAC, Rubicon also includes ultra-high sample rate A/D conversion. These functionalities together with the high resolution USB recording capability provide the users with the sublime experience of digitizing their favorite tracks, still keeping the depth and the warmth of the original analog recordings.”
Enhanced User Experience
The Rubicon Atomic AD/DA Preamp is not just about high-tech specifications; it is designed to enhance the overall user experience. For vinyl enthusiasts, the discrete JFET phono preamp offers ultra-low noise and high fidelity, ensuring that the nuances of vinyl records are preserved. This is particularly important for audiophiles who value the warmth and depth of analog recordings.
Moreover, the Rubicon’s 384 kHz DAC and ultra-high sample rate A/D conversion capabilities mean that users can enjoy high-resolution audio playback and recording. This is ideal for those who want to digitize their vinyl collection without losing the quality of the original recordings. The high-resolution USB recording capability further adds to the convenience, allowing users to easily transfer their digitized tracks to a computer for storage or further processing.
Unfortunately, no information on pricing or worldwide availability has been released as yet for the Rubicon Atomic AD/DA Preamp, but more information can be found on the Antelope website.
