RIM announced the BlackBerry PlayBook a while back, and at the time, they didn’t give any indication on when it would go on sale. We have heard rumors before about a launch date for the PlayBook, but now it looks like it may launch on the 10th of April.
The guys over at the BGR have been told by a number of sources that the BlackBerry PlayBook will go on sale in the US on April the 10th, and have also been told that the OS will go to GM on the 31st of March.
Key Features and Specifications
As a reminder, the BlackBerry PlayBook will come with a 7-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. This compact size makes it highly portable and easy to handle, fitting comfortably in one hand. Processing is provided by a 1GHz dual-core processor, ensuring smooth performance for multitasking and running various applications. It will also come with 1GB of RAM, which is quite substantial for a tablet of its time, allowing for efficient memory management and better performance.
