RIM are scheduled to launch the new version of their mobile OS, BlackBerry 10 in the first quarter of 2013, and now RIM’s CEO Thorsten Heins has announced that RIM are testing out BlackBerry 10 with around 50 different mobile carriers.
“In the last week, BlackBerry 10 achieved lab entry with more than 50 carriers — a key step in our preparedness for the launch of BlackBerry 10 in the first quarter of 2013,
The carrier testing usually takes between 60 and 90 days, which means that RIM are still on track to launch BlackBerry 10 in the first quarter of 2013, along with their new BlackBerry 10 smartphones.
