The BBC has today launched a newly refreshed version of its BBC News Mobile website, which has now been re-designed to work on a larger range of mobile devices and screen sizes.
Whatever style of mobile device you might be using to surf the new BBC News site on. Whether it be a touchscreen device or a keypad or trackball, the mobile news site will now be tailored to your device.
The site has now been refreshed to make it easier for users to skim read through the latest news headlines, and view the Most Read articles. Together with Features and Analysis stories showcased throughout the mobile website.
However the BBC is also aware that not all content on their site will still work with all mobile devices. But is currently working hard to roll out new technology to make it easier and more compatible with a larger range of devices and operating systems.
“Of course, many of you are using devices that are capable of far more than we are offering today. Currently there isn’t any video, but we will add video for those devices which can display it.
We know that people want different things at different times – sometimes you’re looking for quick updates and at other times you want more detailed news coverage. Our new mobile site will be aiming to do both.”
