Razer has added another gaming mouse to its range with the launch of the Razer Ouroboros, which is an ambidextrous mouse and it comes with a range of customizable options and features.
The Razer Ouroboros was designed specially by our team of ergonomic scientists and engineers to create the most comfortable ambidextrous mouse. Extensive ergonomic research was conducted based on scientific studies from the Razer ergonomic scientists, industrial designers and by extensive testing and trials together with numerous feedback we’ve gathered from our pro-gamers and the community. Our ergonomists derived that there are essentially 3 key factors in an ambidextrous mouse.
Design and Customization
The Razer Ouroboros stands out due to its highly customizable design. It features an adjustable palm rest, which can be extended or retracted to fit different hand sizes and grip styles. Additionally, the mouse comes with interchangeable side panels, allowing users to modify the width and shape to suit their preferences. This level of customization ensures that the Ouroboros can be tailored to provide maximum comfort and efficiency for both left-handed and right-handed users.
Moreover, the Ouroboros includes 11 programmable buttons, which can be customized using Razer’s Synapse software. This allows gamers to assign complex macros and functions to each button, enhancing their gaming experience. The mouse also features a 4G Dual Sensor System, combining a laser and an optical sensor to deliver exceptional tracking accuracy on a variety of surfaces.
Performance and Features
The Razer Ouroboros is not just about customization; it also boasts impressive performance features. It offers a 1000Hz Ultrapolling rate and a 1ms response time, ensuring that every movement and click is registered with minimal delay. This is crucial for competitive gaming, where even a fraction of a second can make a difference.
One of the standout features of the Ouroboros is its dual wired/wireless functionality. Gamers can choose to use the mouse in wireless mode for freedom of movement or switch to wired mode for uninterrupted gameplay during long sessions. The mouse comes with a charging dock, ensuring that it is always ready for action.
The Ouroboros also includes a customizable DPI clutch trigger, allowing users to temporarily change the DPI settings for precision aiming. This feature is particularly useful in first-person shooter games, where accuracy is paramount.
