Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Chimera

Giancarlo Varanini Senior Manager, Communications at Ubisoft has taken to the official PlayStation blog today to announce more details about the upcoming Rainbow Six Siege’s Operation Chimera event. That will be starting on March 6th, 2018 and providing players with a new competition on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One offering the first series of content for the third year of Rainbow Six Siege.

Operation Chimera will add two new operators from French and Russian counterterrorism units, each equipped with special load outs and gadgets that make them uniquely suited to various tactical scenarios, says Giancarlo. As well as the two team members, a new cooperative event called Outbreak will also be rolling out. During which the new Operators will join Smoke, Ying, Buck, Kapkan, Ash, Doc, Tachanka, Glaz, and the Recruit in Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, to contain an extraterrestrial parasite in its quarantine zone.

The Rainbow Six Siege Outbreak content will be available for free as a four week event and will offer in two different modes to suit your skills and teamwork, Normal and Pandemic. The Normal mode “will be tough for players unless they use teamwork and communication”, but Pandemic will push “any team to their limits – enemies will pack an extra punch, and friendly fire will be turned on”.

Don’t forget Operation Chimera and Outbreak is just the first new content that will be rolled out by Ubisoft during Rainbow Six Siege’s third year. As soon as more content is announced we will keep you up-to-date as always. In the meantime jumper the official PlayStation blog full details on the new content and the launch which will take place early next month on March 6th, 2018.
